TENDER DESCRIPTION

Within the contract period from 01.11.2026 to 30.04.2027, the contract will be awarded for footpaths, pedestrian crossings and bus stops on a continuous basis from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays and including school holidays. The contractor must be able to remove the consequences of wintry weather in an environmentally friendly manner to the best of its ability and at favourable terms. In short: the goal is effective, environmentally appropriate and cost-effective winter maintenance. The winter maintenance is intended to - avoid, as far as possible, the formation of ice/slipperiness, - remove any ice/slipperiness that has arisen as well and as quickly as possible, or - at least reduce their effects on traffic / pedestrians to a minimum. The scope of winter maintenance on footpaths, pedestrian crossings and staircases is based on the currently valid version of the Road Cleaning Bylaw of the City of Remscheid (§ 4 StrRS). Winter maintenance at bus stops is carried out to ensure safe boarding and alighting from buses at each bus stop.
