TENDER DESCRIPTION

Within the contract period from 01.11.2026 to 30.04.2027, the contract is to be awarded for footpaths, crossings and bus stops on a continuous basis from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays and including school holidays. The contractor must be able to remove the effects of wintry weather as far as possible in an environmentally friendly manner at favorable conditions. In short: the objective is effective, environmentally sound and economical winter maintenance. The winter maintenance service shall - if possible, avoid the formation of ice; - remove any ice as well and as quickly as possible, or - at least reduce its effects on traffic / pedestrians to a minimum. The scope of the winter maintenance service on footpaths, crossings and stairways shall be carried out according to the currently applicable version of the Street Cleaning Regulations of the City of Remscheid (§ 4 StrRS). Winter maintenance at bus stops is provided to ensure safe boarding and alighting onto the buses at each bus stop by keeping clear and traffic-safe two locations between the stop area (footpath) and the carriageway, with a width of approx. 1 m and approx. 1.5 m respectively.
