TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the contract is the purchase, including delivery and installation, of 2 UPS units for the BT server room. 1. The subject of the contract consists in the delivery and installation of new devices and the dismantling, collection and disposal of used UPS units. 2. The detailed Description of the Subject of the Contract has been set out in the SWZ Part III (Description of the subject of the contract) and in Part IV of the SWZ (PPU). 3. The purpose of performance of the contract is the need to ensure the continuity of operation of the server infrastructure in the General Inspectorate of Road Transport (GITD). The purchase is necessary to ensure the continuity of operation of the IT infrastructure and to protect servers, network devices and IT systems against the effects of interruptions in the supply of electricity, voltage drops and other power supply disruptions. The use of UPS power supplies will enable the safe continuation of operation of the devices for the time necessary for their controlled shutdown or switching to backup power, minimizing the risk of data loss, equipment damage and downtime in the Authority’s operations.
