TENDER DESCRIPTION

1 General The IHK Ulm plans the construction of a new 5-storey education centre, fully basements. The existing building will be completely demolished for this purpose. The newly planned building has floor plan dimensions of approx. 24 m x 29 m. The top edge of the floor of the ground floor is at 478.1 m above sea level (m üNN). The longitudinal facades to the east and west are glass facades, which are designed as double-skin facade constructions. The east facade is oriented towards the courtyard and, in plan, runs at an angle of approx. 11° relative to the building’s longitudinal alignment. The west facade is oriented towards the road and runs parallel to the building’s longitudinal alignment. The end wall to the south is an enclosed fire wall to adjacent neighbouring development. The end wall to the north is mostly enclosed and has, in the middle, a slight kink of 11° along the plan. 2 Structural frame The basement, the fire wall and the raised escape staircase building are planned in conventional solid construction.
