TENDER DESCRIPTION

1 General The IHK Ulm plans the new construction of a 5-storey educational centre with a full basement. The existing building will be completely demolished for this purpose. The newly planned building has layout dimensions of approx. 24 m x 29 m. The top of the floor of the ground floor is at 478.1 m above NN. The long façades to the east and west are glass façades, which are designed as double-skin façade structures. The east façade is oriented towards the courtyard and runs in plan approx. 11° inclined relative to the building’s longitudinal alignment. The west façade is oriented towards the road and runs parallel to the building’s longitudinal alignment. The end wall to the south is a closed fire compartment wall to an adjacent neighbouring development. The end wall to the north is mostly closed and has a slight kink of 11° in the middle along the layout. 2 Structural design The basement, the fire compartment wall and the above-ground escape stairwell are planned using conventional solid construction methods.
