TENDER DESCRIPTION

LOT 1: 2 x heart-lung machine The MDHZ – Mitteldeutsches Herzzentrum (Central German Heart Centre) - of the University Hospital of the Martin Luther University is one of three cardiac surgery centres in Saxony-Anhalt. We offer the complete range of cardiac surgery in the form of aortocoronary bypass surgery with and without the use of the heart-lung machine (HLM), cardiac valve surgery, surgery for rhythm disorders, operations on the major thoracic vessels, heart transplants as well as implantation of cardiac support systems, pacemakers and cardioverters/defibrillators. Of the operative procedures performed in our clinic, approximately 60% are bypass operations, 15% are cardiac valve operations, 10% are implantations of pacemakers and ICD. The remaining 15% are distributed among the other of the above-mentioned procedures. In total, we perform around 800 cardiac surgical procedures per year in our clinic using a heart-lung machine. As we must fulfil both our duty to provide maximum-care supply as a tertiary care provider and our assignment for research and teaching, the procurement of two devices is urgently required and must be delivered and invoiced still within calendar year…
