TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Department of Construction, Main Department Tiefbau, of the state capital Munich is responsible for new construction and maintenance measures for roads within the city of Munich. In some of these measures, excavated material is generated which can no longer be reused on site (e.g. displacement due to a stronger bound construction, due to its soil-mechanical properties, etc.). Depending on its origin, this material may be contaminated with substances of different types and at different levels of harmful content and therefore must be stored temporarily until the declaration analyses are available and then be transferred to properly managed disposal. For this purpose, the material is classified using declaration analyses into assignment classes (Z 0 2) in accordance with the guideline for backfilling pits, quarries and open-cast mines (LVGBT, status: July 2021) and, in part, also into landfill classes pursuant to the Landfill Ordinance (DepV). Due to technically non-separable admixtures originating from old road surface remnants, in individual cases the material may be classified as hazardous waste (AVV 170503*) after hotspot sampling.
