TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Regional Council of Uusimaa (Uudenmaan elinvoimakeskus) launches, with this contract notice, a tender competition for the procurement of the ROAD PLAN DRAFTER (TIESUUNNITELMAN LAATIJAN) for the project “Road 152 between E-road 3 Hämeenlinnanväylä and road 45 Tuusulanväylä (Ring Road 4 (Kehä 4))”. A new transverse road connection of approximately 13 kilometres in length between Hämeenlinnanväylä (E-road 3) and Tuusulanväylä (road 45) forms a key part of the transport system of the Uusimaa Plan 2050 and supports the development of Central Uusimaa’s logistical competitiveness. The connection supports shifting the emphasis of logistics from the Kehä 3 zone to Central Uusimaa northwards and enables the development of new logistics and business areas of sufficiently large size, particularly in the Focus area in Tuusula. The existing connections towards E-road 3 do not meet the needs of business and industry. The new road connection reduces through-traffic by heavy transport in Central Uusimaa’s built-up areas, improves road safety, and supports the attractiveness of centres and other land-use development.
