TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment in Uusimaa launches, with this contract notice, a tendering procedure for acquiring the PREPARATION OF THE ROAD PLAN through the project "Road 152 between vt 3 Hämeenlinnanväylä - kt 45 Tuusulanväylä (Ring Road 4)". A new approximately 13-kilometre-long cross-connection between Hämeenlinnanväylä (vt 3) and Tuusulanväylä (kt 45) forms a key part of the transport system of Uusimaa Plan 2050 and supports the development of the logistical competitiveness of Central Uusimaa. The connection supports the shift of the logistics focus from the Ring Road 3 area to north of Central Uusimaa and enables the development of new logistics and business areas that are sufficiently large, especially in the Focus area in Tuusula. The existing connections towards the direction of highway 3 do not meet the needs of business life. The new road connection reduces through-traffic by heavy vehicles through the built-up areas of Central Uusimaa, improves road safety, and supports the amenity of the centres and other land-use development.
