TENDER DESCRIPTION

In accordance with §§ 9 et seq. of WindSeeG, the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) investigates the areas designated in the area development plan for tendering by the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur, BNetzA) and for development with offshore wind energy installations. The marine environment, seabed conditions, wind and oceanographic conditions, and the transport-related suitability of the area are investigated, and reports are prepared on this basis. The BSH examines, among other things on the basis of information from these investigations, the suitability of the area. If the BSH determines that the area is suitable, it establishes this suitability by means of a legal ordinance, and the investigation results are transmitted to the BNetzA for the tendering procedure. In addition, the results are made available via the data portal for the area pre-investigation.
