TENDER DESCRIPTION

HVC has set itself the goal that by 2035 one million tonnes of CO2 less will be emitted than in 2025. Among other things, HVC wants to achieve this by developing a CO2 capture installation at the HVC site in Alkmaar. The purpose of this installation is to capture 100 kilotonnes of CO2 and to sell the captured CO2 (CCU). By way of comparison: this corresponds to the average CO2 emissions from the energy consumption of 30,816 households. In 2024, following a procurement procedure, HVC entered into a contract with supplier SLB Capturi | SLB Capturi (SLBC) for the construction of a CO2 capture installation at the HVC site in Alkmaar. In the past period, HVC has worked with SLBC on a FEED (front-end engineering design). The FEED will be ready in June 2026. The supplier SLBC for the capture installation has excluded from its scope the civil works and the Balance of plant. These must be arranged and carried out by HVC itself.
