TENDER DESCRIPTION

For the visitor flows expected after the opening of the abbey church, a modern, barrier-free accessible toilet facility is to be created; for its implementation, the unused rooms of the former student association in the ground-floor level of the portal wing are considered particularly suitable as the location due to their central position in the access area of the monastery complex. For the future planned new visitor centre “Kloster Michaelsberg”, a central entrance is established, which is located in the ground-floor level of the portal wing and is therefore in the direct access area to the monastery complex. Through a generous, round-arched gate located centrally in the portal wing, visitors first enter a vestibule, from which the new public WC facility can be reached barrier-free on the right-hand side. An automatic glass sliding door system, positioned behind the gate installation, is used for climatic separation. By restoring a former passage currently bricked up in the northern corridor wall, the small vaulted hall adjacent to the north is connected, which is three bays wide and three ship bays deep and previously served as a meeting and stay area for the student…
