TENDER DESCRIPTION

The existing contract for the recovery of biowaste ends on 31.12.2027. As of 01.01.2028, within the framework of intermunicipal cooperation with the waste management companies Lübeck (EBL), an annual recovery capacity of 27,000 Mg will be available. The biowaste amount currently generated from the Biowaste bin collection is around 55,000 Mg per year. After deducting the quantity to be covered by EBL, an remaining quantity of around 28,000 Mg per year will be available for award. The subject of this invitation to tender is therefore the collection, if necessary transport, and recovery of this remaining quantity of approximately 28,000 Mg of biowaste per year. For the performance years 2028 and 2029, recovery using a procedure involving energy recovery and subsequent material recovery (cascading principle) is not yet mandatory (transitional rule).
