TENDER DESCRIPTION

DEGES plans and builds the A44 on behalf of Autobahn GmbH in the area from the AS Waldkappel junction to the Wommener Dreieck. As part of this new construction, the Holstein tunnel is to be built in VKE C231 between the Sontra-West and Sontra-Mitte connection points. The Holstein tunnel receives one tube per direction of travel. With a length of approximately 1,650 m each, the tunnel will be fully equipped in accordance with RE-ING 3-3 as well as provided with an extended traffic engineering equipment system in accordance with RVABS. Due to the generally high scope of operational and traffic engineering equipment in tunnel structures, this section of the route will thus constitute a structure with high energy consumption and corresponding requirements for the infrastructure of the local energy supplier. In addition, the energy consumption results in substantial shares of operating costs and the CO2 balance of the tunnel structure.
