TENDER DESCRIPTION

Architectural services are being tendered for the refurbishment, new construction and refurbishment of the sports hall at BBS Varel. The Berufsbildenden Schulen (BBS) Varel have developed since their establishment in the early 1960s into a versatile educational location through numerous structural extensions. Today, the school site includes several building sections from different years of construction, which meet the diverse requirements of vocational education in the fields of business, technology, health, social education, agriculture and also food and household management. Due to the advanced age of the buildings, there are now significant structural, functional and technical deficits. Particularly serious is the closure of a workshop area in building section 7 in 2024 as a result of significant structural damage and mould infestation. The relocation of practice-oriented teaching to temporary premises required as a result is only a short-term transitional solution and has a lasting impact on school operations. In addition, the school site has major deficiencies with regard to accessibility, fire protection, sanitary services and the overall structural and energy quality.…
