TENDER DESCRIPTION
As of 01.01.2027, the University of Applied Sciences Aachen requires a fibre-optic connection (two unlit fibre-optic twin cables of LWL) from Aachen to Jülich. By keeping two separate twin cables in reserve, additional fibres are available in addition to the currently required transmission route for redundancy, extensions, alternative transmission paths, or future applications. The implementation with two twin cables also reduces the effort required for later retrofitting and increases the operational reliability, expandability and long-term cost-effectiveness of the infrastructure.
