Vivantes Netzwerk für Gesundheit GmbH (hereinafter referred to as Vivantes) operates hospitals with more than 20,649 employees at eight locations (independent operating sites) as well as other health and social facilities in Berlin. Vivantes provides care to approximately 30 percent of all hospital patients in Berlin, with about 206,278 inpatient cases and about 377,061 outpatient cases per year. At more than 100 clinics and medical institutes, around 5,928 hospital beds are available for the inpatient treatment of patients. The Vivantes Group also includes twenty-one nursing homes, two senior housing facilities, an outpatient rehabilitation service, medical care centres (Medizinische Versorgungszentren), an outpatient nursing care service, a hospice, as well as subsidiaries for catering, cleaning and laundry.
