TENDER DESCRIPTION

The DLR facilities at the Bremen site are currently spread over seven buildings in the technology park. Only two of these are owned by DLR – the remaining properties on site are rented. Consequently, neither uniform access control nor adequate surveillance to ensure safety is possible. In addition, there has been a need for space for several years, particularly noticeable in missing laboratory capacities and insufficient storage space. The required storage capacities are provisionally and inadequately solved by placing containers outdoors and renting external storage capacities. Currently, the neighboring building directly adjacent to the DLR institute building is vacant, providing a sensible opportunity to solve the mentioned problems. Since the previous tenant DFKI has occupied the building for over 30 years, all surfaces need to be renewed and the technical equipment updated. The fire protection requirements are no longer met structurally. This is supplemented by adaptation work for the installation of laboratories and desk-sharing workstations as well as barrier-free accessibility.
