TENDER DESCRIPTION

The OEW Breitband GmbH (OEW BB) has been commissioned by the municipality of Uttenweiler to, on behalf of the municipality, put out to tender network operation for the passive fiber-optic network to be constructed within the municipality’s territory. The municipality of Uttenweiler is expected to carry out the tender for planning services, and subsequently for construction services, by the end of 2026 / beginning of 2027 in order to connect the light and dark gray areas of the municipality’s territory. The start of construction is expected at the earliest by the end of 2027. Completion of the projects and handover will then likely be at the end of 2029 or the beginning of 2030. The municipality of Uttenweiler, as contracting authority (AG), does not provide network operation services and Internet and telecommunications services itself.
