TENDER DESCRIPTION

A. In a joint project with LMU, the majority of diagnostic units (clinical-theoretical and clinical medicine) are to be brought together in a diagnostic centre in order to achieve synergy effects in research and patient care and to strengthen cooperation between the hospital and the LMU. At the diagnostic centre, the hospital will house the Institute for Laboratory Medicine, the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Cell Therapeutics and Haemostasis, and the Institute of Human Genetics with the areas for research, teaching and patient care. The hospital’s areas are complemented by flexible laboratory areas, which are intended both to mitigate the existing deficit in research space and to be made available as core facilities for the entire medical faculty. On the LMU side, the complete diagnostics and parts of the research of the Max von Pettenkofer Institute will be located in the building. The following clinics are the users of the DIAKUM: the Institute for Laboratory Medicine, the Department of Transfusion Medicine, Cell Therapeutics and Haemostasis, and the Institute of Human Genetics as well as the Max von Pettenkofer Institute with the areas of virology and bacteriology.
