TENDER DESCRIPTION
The objective of the procurement is to ensure a future-proof, secure operation of the virtualization platform that is supported by the manufacturer. By migrating to the current product generation, the prerequisites for long-term operation of the virtual server and infrastructure environment shall be created, and current functions, security updates and manufacturer support shall be used. The services to be procured therefore include the provision of the required VMware vSphere Foundation licenses for the intended scope of use, including maintenance, update and support services by the manufacturer for the contract term of five years. The existing virtualization environment shall be sustainably secured with regard to functionality, availability and operational stability and adapted to the manufacturer’s current licensing and product models. The procurement forms part of the overall concept, which reflects the strategic direction of the group of companies and is integrated fully into the existing system.
