TENDER DESCRIPTION

For refurbishment, new construction and refurbishment of the sports hall at BBS Varel, architectural services are being procured. Since their establishment in the early 1960s, the Vocational Schools (BBS) Varel have developed into a versatile educational location through numerous building extensions. The school site today comprises several building components from different construction periods, which meet the diverse requirements of vocational education in the fields of business, engineering, health, social education, agricultural business as well as food and domestic science. Due to the advanced age of the buildings, there are currently significant structural, functional and technical deficits. Particularly serious is the closure of a workshop area in building component 7 in 2024 due to considerable building damage and mould infestation. The relocation of practice-oriented teaching to temporary rooms required as a result is merely a short-term transitional solution and will impair school operations in the long term.
