TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service agreement that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the agreement. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for supervision/management tasks, procurement of maintenance works, and appropriate maintenance work. The agreement covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the agreement documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in Kristiinankaupunki’s contract area. The total length of the road network covered by the agreement is approximately 900 kilometres, of which approximately 130 km are single carriageway of type Is and approximately 185 km are single carriageway of type Ib, approximately 245 km are gravel roads, and approximately 45 km are walking and cycling paths. The contract is, in terms of demandingness, a basic contract.
