TENDER DESCRIPTION

The road maintenance contract is a target-price service contract that emphasises cooperation between the contracting authority and the contractor during the term of the contract. In the road maintenance contract, the contractor is responsible for maintenance management duties, procurement of maintenance works and contract-compliant maintenance work. The contract covers winter and summer maintenance of roads in accordance with the contract documents. The contract includes summer and winter maintenance of roads located in the Oulu contracting area. The total road network covered by the contract is approximately 1,285 kilometres, of which approximately 60 km are two-lane roads (Ise 2), approximately 20 km are one-lane roads (Ise 1), approximately 10 km are two-lane roads (Is 2), approximately 160 km are one-lane roads (Is 1), approximately 285 km are gravel roads, and approximately 170 km are pedestrian and cycling routes. The contract includes tasks of the Water Engineering Section.
